The DOM test gave me an "Out of memory" error causing the toolbar to turn black.

The javascript test froze the browser but the "slow running script" popup allowed me to cancel it.

I think Fenrir should concentrate more on tab isolation than this particular form of multithreading of which I see little evidence of practical advantage.

Only Trident View part on a tab works with separate thread, not a tab as a whole.
So if one tab is busy, it will affect on Sleipnir UI and other tabs.

They are also affected by the system to lower Flash playback speed on non active windows that Flash Player 10.1 or its newer versions have.

"Multithreading" is actually different from what you mentioned.

"Multithreading" means that Trident View on each tab functions with different threads in whole Sleipnir process.

So you can experience if multithreading is working on an active tab, for example, when you open many tabs at once using your favorite group or heavy web pages in the background.

By "multithreading" you mean that multiple javascripts can be run simultaneously in multiple threads within a tab, right? I don't know of any browser test that attempts to run scripts in parallel so I don't know how this can be tested (SunSpider runs them sequentially).

I'll see if I can find a good page to test on.

You may have tried already, but it may be easier to see if the multithreading is working opening web sites with Flash or JavaScript taking long time to display or starting Sleipnir with many tabs.

Multithreading effect depends on your network or PC performance.

Is there a web page or even a test page where the multithreading feature of the dev versions can be tested? I can't say that I notice any improvement when I have multithreading turned on. It doesn't appear to have any effect on typical browser tests like PeaceKeeper.

Thanks for the answer. I will look it up more. Its so fun with all new browsers. Its fun to see thouse newcomber growing and become better and better. I will keep using Sleipnir from time to time.

Just want to tell you that Im right now is having 15 browsers with 17 unique accounts to the same site (my goal is 21 accounts). Not in the same time ofcourse, that should kill my computer, but they all starts with diffrent accounts and I dont have to log in and out every time. I dont understand how it can works when they have the same engine but in some way it does.

I have Lunascape6 with three accounts. (trident, gecko and webkit)
Safari, Firefox, SeaMonkey, Flock, K-meleon, Google Chrome, Netscape, IE, Orca, Opera, Avant, Iron, Arora and Wyzo.

In my testing browser section I also have Maxthon, Sleipnir and Aol (dont know if I can use aol, havent understand if its a browser or something else jet.)

I also have Browzar just for fun.

Dont ask me why I have all this accounts and why I want to have all this browsers, I wount be able to explain it anyway. I just can say its a typ of gamesite where you can have up to 5 account and we are 5 in the family (one is only having one account).

Sleipnir is using the Internet Explorer (Trident) engine like Maxthon and Avant so it is using the same cookie files those browsers are using, thus the same account will be used for a website. If you want to use different accounts for a website, you should try browsers like Opera, Firefox or Google Chrome which use their own cookie files.

You can use the Gecko (Mozilla) engine in Maxthon so you can switch back and forth within that browser. Sleipnir also has a Gecko plugin but the main release version has been discontinued and the development version requires using a development version of Sleipnir.

eg. To use 5 accounts on a website without logging off:

Account 1 - Maxthon in Trident mode
Account 2 - Maxthon in Gecko mode
Account 3 - Google Chrome
Account 4 - Opera
Account 5 - Firefox

Hello! This will be a little tricky because Im not so goog in english but I will do my best.

I am testing some browsers and Sleipnir is one of them. I like it so far but I have a problem I want to ask about.

I am logged in on a site in Sleipnir. Close Sleipnir down and open Avant
or Maxthon. There Im logged in on the site with the same acount. If I logging off and logg in with an other acount, close the browser and go back to Sleipnir that other acount is logged in. I dont want them to have the same acount, I want to have diffrent acount inlogged in every browser. It works well with the other browsers but this tree browser seems to chare some information. Is it possible to make Sleipnir not do what I do on one of the other browsers?

Im so sorry for the clumsy explanation and the spelling and grammar. Im just sucks in english.

I have try to read on the forum but if I have problems with the english its ten times worth with english-computer words. Is it possible to try to explain the problem in werry easy words I would be happy. I know this isnt a Sleipnir problems, I have come across it in other browsers to.

Im a browserneard and I cant help it.

Ok, it was my mistake, Sleipnir was hidden in my traybar, not on my taskbar, and I thought that it was completely closed, but, obviously, it wasn't.

Now, my question is: if I translate the whole config file in English and send it to you, can you use it in a future update of the plugin/browser, so that other English users can benefit from it (either incorporated in the setup kit, or as a separate download) ?

About your inquiry,

You may be able to reflect your translation following steps below but firstly, please make sure that Sleipnir is closed, then edit files.
After finishing editing, restart Sleipnir.

1. Directly rewrite two files, "Hawkeye.ini" and "HawkeyePanel.xml"
in (Sleipnir installed folder)\resources\languages\default\english

2. If there are"Hawkeye.ini" and "HawkeyePanel.xml" in the
(Sleipnir install folder)\settings\(user name)\setting\Override, please delete them.

3. Restart Sleipnir

Then changes may reflect successfully.

We recommend you to backup your edited files in (Sleipnir install folder)\resources\languages\default\english since they are automatically overwritten when you update the program.

If you have any questions such as where the mentioned files are or the our suggested solution does not work, please let us know you Client information.
You can copy Client information from "Help on the menu bar -> About"and press Ctrl+C and paste it to the board. Client information does not include any personal information.
